Another of the fortresses built in the Ottoman period (1450) is the fortress of Bihor. This fortress is located in the same medieval parish of Bihor, near Berane. During the Ottoman period, the fortress was used to control caravans and passengers and was equipped with cannons and grain warehouses. In addition to the Bihor fortress, there were also suburbs, according to the available information. Today, the remains of three towers and a water tank can be identified, as well as the route of the former ramparts. During the clashes in the 19th century, the Bihor fortress, together with its town, was destroyed and displaced.
