Giardino

The Giardino restaurant in Petrovac is certainly somewhere that is worth a visit, if not for the tasty local food but for the spectacular view. The restaurant is ranked in first place for eateries in Petrovac by Trip Advisor. Set in a garden with a sea view, such a beautiful landscape means that Giardino has even been known to host many wedding ceremonies at the restaurant. Atop a hill, it provides a romantic setting looking out over the ocean, whilst the garden still feels intimate and private. If you are lucky enough to get a table on the benches in the garden for sunset, this will be a memorable occasion.

Whilst the location is scoring high, the food is not disappointing either. The cuisine is made in generously large portions but is still inexpensive. All of the dishes are homemade and as such have a real local flavour about them. If you are keen to try a speciality dish in Montenegro then go for the 'Lamb Under the Bell' as it is deliciously tender and tasty. When you order a plate for two people this would be enough to feed three!

The owner is also attentive and always checking that customers are satisfied and being served well by the staff. This restaurant is often compared to larger establishments in Petrovac and Budva, but always comes out on top. The view and the food have a large part to play in this, but the addition of young rabbits running loose in the garden often wins over the hearts of customers as well.
